Darryl A. Jenkins practices in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and personal injury.
Darryl received her law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law where she graduated in the top five of her class with magna cum laude honors. During her time in law school she was employed as a teaching assistant for the Lawyering Skills course, teaching legal writing and research skills to first-year students.
Throughout her studies Darryl received best in class awards for the following courses: Lawyering Skills, Sentencing Law, Torts and Workers’ Compensation. She also received perfect scores in Criminal Law and Pre-Trial Criminal Procedure. She completed a judicial externship in the chambers of the Honorable Scott A. Lipke, and was a staff member on the SIU Law Journal. In 2017, Darryl completed an internship with the Capital Habeas Unit within the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Tallahassee, Florida. This unit handles death penalty cases at the federal appellate level.
Darryl was raised in Jackson and completed her undergraduate studies at Southeast Missouri State University. While at SEMO, Darryl majored in Criminal Justice and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. After graduating from SEMO, Darryl worked for both the Missouri Department of Mental Health, and the Missouri Children’s Division where she investigated cases of child abuse and neglect.
