Cody maintains a practice focusing on family law, estate planning, bankruptcy, and general litigation. He also serves as Municipal Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Cape Girardeau, and practices criminal defense, primarily DWI matters, in counties outside of Cape Girardeau. He is admitted to practice in the State of Missouri and the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Cody received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and his law degree from the University of Mississippi, where he graduated with cum laude honors and served as an editor on the Mississippi Law Review. Prior to entering private practice, Cody was an assistant prosecuting attorney for Cape Girardeau County.
Cody was born and raised in Portageville, Missouri, and now lives in Cape Girardeau with his wife and daughter. When not practicing law, Cody is an avid waterfowler who also enjoys cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels.
